The Firecrest release was implemented as planned on the 15/03/2019 with new features and bug fixes for Hybrid Office 365 integration.
The below is a high level summary of the new functionality. 

New O365 Functionality

  • Automatically adds Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) for ATP Local Administrators when permissions added. 
  • Global admins have the ability to edit a project web app after it’s creation.
  • Users who are given a Yammer license will be added to an organisation’s standard Yammer group.
  • MFA is removed automatically when a user’s ATP Local Admin permissions are removed.
  • The Local Helpdesk role is added to the list of roles that require MFA enabled.
  • Global admins given the permission to approve or reject organisation sharing requests with external organisations.
  • Further ‘Business to Business’ functionalities have been added to enrol external organisations and share O365 capabilities with them

Bugs Fixed

  • Fixes issue with license synchronisation with Office.com when disabled in the NHSmail Portal.
  • Corrects issue with Project Web App growl notifications.
  • Fixes issue with the Project Web App auditing.
  • Fixes issue with the creation of Teams within the NHSmail Portal. 
  • Additional minor bug fixes related to ‘Business to Business’ functionalities
